RedKnightsChapter40.com is back on the air better than ever. There are a lot of new additions. First there are six new posts below this one. I built Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages for the club, and there are icon links at the bottom to get there. Also there is a mini gallery on the right sidebar. Each time you go to a different RedKnightsChapter40.com page or post, random pictures are taken from the galleries to be displayed on the sidebar. You can click on them to enlarge them. Also at the bottom is an eMail icon for a new general purpose eMail for the club rk40ny@gmail.com. In addition there is a “Share This” button where you can Facebook like, Twitter tweet, Google +1 this, Dig dig this, StumbleUpon this, email this, or print pages and posts. In addition there was a lot of behind the scenes work to make RedKnightsChapter40.com look good on all different types of monitors, web browsers, operating systems, tablets, and smart phones. I hope you enjoy the new RedKnightsChapter40.com.
Congratulations to Brian Burt charter member and long standing Vice President for his new position as President of the Red Knights Chapter 40 New York. Brian will give the same excellence in service as he did as Vice President to the club in his new position as President.
The Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 40 New York give thanks to Kavin Winton charter member and president for years of excellence in service and leadership to the club as president. Kavin has step down from being president because of increasing family and work commitments. I would also like to thank Kavin. It has been a pleasure working with Kavin over the years since I built this website. I am grateful he choose me to build RedKnightsChapter40.com. Below is a photo of Kavin and myself at a stop on the Todd Harvey Run.
You can now find Red Knights Chapter 40 New York on Facebook. Though to see this you have to have an account. If you don’t, it is easy. Sign up for an account, then just go though the Account/Privacy settings and tighten up the security by just allowing friends to see your profile, etc. I am on it. American Legion Riders Post 189 Norwich is on it. I set up a page for my friend’s business Goodrich Fleet and Auto Center. Some motorcycle clubs who don’t have a Website have a Facebook page instead, but a Website and a Facebook page go hand in hand. And a well done Website, Facebook page, and Twitter page is the golden trifecta. Below is a screenshot of RK40NY’s Facebook page and a video on how to setup a Facebook account.
Red Knights Chapter 40 New York is now on Twitter. If you don’t use Twitter you might want to give it a try. It uses Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) https://twitter.com/. This (https://www.) is the same as what you will see in the URL (web address) with online banking or purchases – always look for the s for online transactions.

Google search rankings change all the time, but I was amazed when I searched “red knights mc” the other day. It was under the default Everything search. It got about 589,000 results. First came Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club website (www.redknightsmc.org), second was “Images for red knights mc.” Something struck my eye immediately. It was the very first of the four images. Below is a view.
Next I click on the “Images for red knights mc.” It got about 1,310,000 results. And here is that view.
So why is the Number 1 image for “red knights mc” Google search so special. Besides being an amazing logo. It was created by Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 40 New York very own former Vice President and current President Brian Burt, Secretary Deb Bartle and Fine Line Graphics. Fine Line Graphics (607-334-2468) does amazing work. I remember seeing Kavin Winton Charter President/Member wearing a sweat with another RK40NY logo (shown below) on the arms – looked really cool.
I created RedKnightsChapter40.com, and I think why it was so enjoyable to do was that I had such a great center piece to work with – the RK40NY logo. That along with knowing I was building a website for the brave men and women fire fighters and EMS providers of the Greene, New Berlin, Guilford, Marathon, Oxford, Brisben, Sherburne, North Norwich, Bainbridge, and Morris NY Fire Departments.. It was and is a honor.
